The London Tigers went home winners at Ballpark of Oklahoma City, thanks in large part to starter Ricardo Alvarado. Alvarado stifled the Stockton Ragin Cajuns, enabling London to grab the 4-1 win. Alvarado got the win, improving to 10-6. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. The win for the Tigers raised their record to 68-41.
Ryan Murphree went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI for London. The 26-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off Jose Chacon. It was his 85th hit of the season.
Murphree told a London Gazette reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
