Bombardiers Clonk Ragin Cajuns, 5-2
|
Starting pitcher Lorenzo Guerra had a solid game. He was a big reason the Cincinnati Bombardiers throttled the Stockton Ragin Cajuns, 5-2. Ryan Johnson recorded the save, making him 6 for 7. Cincinnati currently is in 4th place in the Western AA Coastal Division at 47-62.
Brandon Fry had a big 3-run home run for the Bombardiers in the bottom of the third inning. With Cincinnati leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Scott Barth and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bombardiers ahead, 5-0.
"Lorenzo was good -- real good," said Bombardiers manager Carlos Almendarez.
