Close Win Moves Cavalry to 29-80
St. Louis defeated Vermont, 3-2, in large part due to 22-year old shortstop Steve Ross. Ross drove in 3 runs. The third baseman had 1 double and 1 home run for the Cavalry. The win cannot erase the fact that St. Louis still has a disappointing 29-80 record.

With St. Louis trailing 1-0 in the top of the third, Ross hit a cutter from Chris Fuller for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Cavalry ahead, 3-1.

"Steve showed up tonight," said St. Louis manager Leo Medina.
