Tigercats catcher Ryan Freeman put his stamp on his team's 10-4 win over the Hialeah Firecats. Freeman went 1-5 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Vail in the contest. Vail is now 63-45. Hialeah is 35-73.

With Vail leading 5-0 in the top of the fifth, Freeman came up to bat against Hialeah pitcher John Wright. Freeman hit a fastball to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Tigercats on top, 9-0.

Vail manager Mike Alexander was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
