In a tight contest between the St. Louis Cavalry and the Hamilton Bulldogs, Matt Davis was the determining factor. The St. Louis left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Shane Campbell notched his 19th save of the season. The Cavalry now have a record of 36-72.
Juichi Okuyama had a direct impact on the outcome. Okuyama contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put St. Louis up, 3-2.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Hamilton skipper Emmanuel Montano.
