Firecats Suffer One-Run Loss at Cincinnati
|
Hialeah second baseman Eddie Cano was sensational. He went 2 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Cincinnati beat the Firecats, 5-4. The second-place Bombardiers have won 7 straight games.
First Baseman Tom Johnson made an impact for Cincinnati, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Dan Yeager in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Johnson went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
Cincinnati manager Nick Pauli commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
