Cornwall Falters Again, Loses, 7-6, to Hialeah
The Hialeah Firecats beat the Cornwall Royals, 7-6, at Firecats Ballpark. Hialeah first baseman Casey Parsons led the way. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Etienne Erbetto. Scott Justin had a big 2-run triple for the Firecats in the bottom of the first inning. With Hialeah leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Bill Mosher, who is tied for 3rd in the W-AA in complete games with 1, and swatted a triple to right. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Firecats ahead, 3-0.
