Mariachis Ballpark was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Hamilton Bulldogs did just enough to sneak past the Vail Tigercats, 2-1, at Mariachis Ballpark. Hamilton pitcher Aaron Bergman, in particular, had a standout performance. Getting the save was Blake Ware, his 9th.

The Bulldogs got an important contribution from center fielder Joel Angulo, who in the bottom of the second hit a 2-0 fastball to right for a solo home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Bulldogs ahead, 2-0.

"Aaron is good at sticking to his strengths," said Hamilton manager Tony Velez.

With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 63-42.
