Riding the 2-hit performance of the slick-fielding second baseman Joe Morrison, the Vermont Milkmen stopped the Cornwall Royals, 8-1. The win was credited to Alan Trovato in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Justin Hesley took the loss. The third-place Milkmen have a record of 52-54.

The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth when Morrison hit a 2-run double. It thrust the Milkmen into the lead, 3-1.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Morrison told the Vermont Daily News.
