Behind a solid performance from left fielder Dan Price, the Vermont Milkmen defeated the Cornwall Royals, 7-3. Price went 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks for the Milkmen. Steve Quintero, the winner, is now 7-9. He struck out 3 and walked 2 over 7 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. The Milkmen, at 51-54, sit in third place in the Western AA Coastal Division.

Vermont used a well-timed hit by Mike Middlebrooks to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Milkmen ahead, 5-3. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
