Reinertsen Leads Sea Dogs to 12-9 Win Over Gladiators
A good performance from designated hitter Russ Reinertsen helped the Charleston Sea Dogs defeat the Phoenix Gladiators, 12-9. Reinertsen was 3-4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Sea Dogs. David Edgemon, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 6 runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 5-3. Ken Allbaugh finished to wrap up his 3rd save.

Nelson Ziersch had a big 2-run home run for the Sea Dogs in the top of the third inning. With Charleston leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from Moises Cruz, who signed a 4-year contract worth $1,184,000 on 12/24/2025, and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Sea Dogs on top, 3-0.

"Winning never gets dull," said Ziersch.
