Scorpions Lose, 4-1, as Cavalry Rally
|
The St. Louis Cavalry took on the Sonoma Scorpions at Ballpark of North Richland Hills.
The St. Louis Cavalry faced a tough opponent in Sonoma pitcher Terence Rodda, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of North Richland Hills by a final score of 4-1. Rodda went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Shane Campbell wrapped it up, recording his 4th save.
St. Louis used the timely hitting of Brent Hauke to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cavalry on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
Said Sonoma manager Keith Young: "We weren't able to do much."
The setback makes Sonoma 53-49.
