The Hialeah Firecats banked on Joel Edmondson and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the St. Louis hitters in check. The final score was 2-0, Firecats. Jesse Tuuri, who is tied for 2nd in the W-AA with a 10.5 K/9 rate, was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-8. The losing pitcher was Jim Unknown. Hialeah, with the win, sits at 35-68.
Travis Eastlack played the role of hero for Hialeah. In the bottom of the tenth, he launched a 2-run home run off Jim Unknown to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
