The Vermont Milkmen got a sterling performance from pitcher Paul Birchfield, but the Vail Tigercats still prevailed, 7-6. Birchfield threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. Justin Brownlee earned his 2nd save in 2 chances. With the win, the Tigercats sit at 59-43.

Paul Dankenbring delivered a big hit for Vail. The designated hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Tigercats ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Dankenbring.
