With left fielder Skyler Fundis leading the charge, the Maine Pines defeated the Detroit Giants, 4-3, at Oakhurst Field. Fundis, who is the 2nd-best prospect in the Pines organization, was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Mike Poussard closed the door for Maine, picking up his 2nd save of the year. The Pines improved their record to 43-31 with the win over Detroit.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Fundis hit a solo home run off Ryan Heyer. It propelled the Pines into the lead, 3-2.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Fundis.
