Bombardiers Suffer 5-0 Setback
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Cornwall Royals and Cincinnati Bombardiers were able to complete their ballgame.
Pitcher Dave Kramer was sensational for the Cornwall Royals in his team's 5-0 triumph over the Cincinnati Bombardiers. Kramer earned the win. Kramer yielded no runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 7-8. DionĂsio Manteigueiro finished the game for Cornwall and earned his 1st save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Mike Raia? The Cornwall left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Royals on top, 1-0. For the game, Raia had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"I like our mindset right now," said Cornwall manager Jon Williams.
With the win over Cincinnati, the Royals improved to 54-48.
