Scorpions Hang 6-3 Loss on Milkmen
|
The Sonoma Scorpions handed the Vermont Milkmen a 6-3 defeat at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. Center Fielder Rich Tangorra starred for Sonoma. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win was credited to 30-year old right-handed pitcher Francisco Hernandez in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Chris Fuller took the loss. Earning his 20th save of the year was Kasey Acree.
Pete Horne hit a bases-clearing double off Chris Fuller in the bottom of the second, which put the Scorpions in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Horne had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Tangorra.
The 5th-place Milkmen dropped to 40-64.
