The Vermont Milkmen took Sonoma pitcher Steve Bueno's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. The final score had Vermont getting past the Scorpions, 3-2. Bueno went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 9. The victory puts Vermont at 39-63.

B.B. Bugbee had a direct impact on the outcome. Bugbee contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Vermont up, 2-0.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Vermont manager Mike Barriga said.
