Scorpions Reel In 4-3 Win
|
The Sonoma Scorpions scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Hamilton Bulldogs at Mariachis Ballpark. Sonoma pitcher Sam Naber held his own in the contest. Mauricio Martinez recorded the save for Sonoma, his 17th of the season. Today's win puts Sonoma at 62-40, while Hamilton falls to 52-50.
Sonoma took a 4-1 lead on John Oglesby's 12th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Oglesby hit in the top of the eighth, left Hamilton pitcher Blake Ware shaking his head.
"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Sonoma manager Keith Young.
