Rob Stech was terrific for the Cornwall Royals in his team's 6-0 triumph over the Stockton Ragin Cajuns. His performance earned Stech rave reviews. The winner was Stech. He threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Scott Barth. Travis Espinoza earned the save, his 2nd.
Dionigi Castellani, who is tied for 8th in the W-AA in doubles with 21, contributed to the Cornwall win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
Said losing manager Jeffrey Troke: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
With the win, the Royals have a record of 63-38.
