Cincinnati Gets 7-2 Win
|
The Cincinnati Royals cut down the New York Nightmare by the score of 7-2, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Jason Paulsen. Paulsen went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Royals. With the victory, the Royals upped their record to 45-29.
Eric Hayes hit a 2-run triple off Dustin Lewis in the top of the fourth, which put the Royals in front, 4-2. Hayes had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"It was a solid team effort," said Paulsen after the game.
