Eagles Take Tight Tangle
|
The Indianapolis Eagles did just enough to secure a victory over the Charleston Sea Dogs, 4-3, in 10 innings at Eagles Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Tim Sindt. Indianapolis reliever Mike Canales picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Shane Kidd absorbed the loss. The loss puts Charleston at 3-5.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Indianapolis. That's when Jim Anderson hit a solo home run off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Shane Kidd to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Anderson.
