The Syracuse Scorpions racked up a win at Mounties Field, bumping off the Vancouver Caribou, 7-4. Juan Rosales, who started for Syracuse, pitched effectively for his team. Ken Allbaugh closed it out for Syracuse, earning his 19th save. Syracuse is now 36-38, Vancouver 29-45.

Syracuse used the hitting of Chris Service to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Scorpions on top, 4-2. For the game, Service had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Juan giving us the start that he did was huge," said Syracuse manager Josh Gifford.
