Behind the hitting of Eric Kukowski, the Halifax Heathens stopped the Vancouver Caribou, 10-9. Kukowski slugged 3 home runs for the Heathens. Jeff Buck nailed down his 4th save. The Heathens, now 6-2, have hit the ground running this season.

Halifax used a clutch at-bat from Justin Cole to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Heathens ahead, 8-6. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Heathens manager David Morris.
