Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Pines
The Maine Pines picked up a win at Oakhurst Field, knocking off the Detroit Giants, 5-3. On the mound for Maine was right-hander Justin Jemison. He played a key role in the triumph. Chris Hames, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. At 42-30, the Pines claim second place in the National Conference North East Division.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 13th for Maine. That's when Steve McKinstry hit a 2-run home run off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Isiah Hamlin to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

Maine manager David Whigham commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
