Nightmare Lose By a Run at Boston
Led by Willie Kirkham, the Boston Whistlers downed the New York Nightmare, 7-6. Kirkham went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Whistlers. The win takes Boston to 4-4.

Kirkham had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Whistlers went on to win.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Kirkham said.
