Hits Galore: Bonanni Drills 5 Hits
|
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Glenn Bonanni is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Windermere High School Wolverines at Gerald McQuiag Field. The monster effort from the 15-year-old left fielder helped the Buford High School Wolves get the win, 12-7.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Wolverines manager Trent Perry. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Glenn Bonanni singled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Barry Sieczkowski in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This year, Bonanni is batting .341 with 43 hits, 7 home runs, 25 RBIs, 13 walks, .415 OBP and has scored 32 runs.
