|
Andrew Evans led San Francisco to a win over Santa Fe. The final score was 5-2. Evans scored 2 times, while going 3 for 3. The second baseman also totaled 2 runs batted in. Jerry Eckhardt got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Picking up the save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Marcos Rosas.
Dennis Quesada was 1-3 with a walk against the Chiefs. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put San Francisco in front, 3-2.
"The tide will turn," said losing manager Brandon Harper. "We just need to keep our chins up."
Now 31-41, Santa Fe has dropped 10 games in a row.
