Austin Alpers had a good game, but he could not keep the Dallas Dragons from falling, 6-5, to the Detroit Giants at Ballpark of Detroit. The Dallas first baseman was 1-2 with a home run and was hit 2 times. He drove in 3 runs and scored once in the loss. Nate Ray picked up the win in relief. Mike Braasch took the loss for Dallas. Detroit is now 43-28, 3 games up in the American Conference North East Division.

Detroit got a game-changing hit from Angelo Mejia. The designated hitter blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a winner.

Mejia told a Detroit Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
