Captains Earn Late Win
Not everyone stuck through the 69-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

In a tight contest at Ahoy Park, the Tampa Bay Captains edged the Toronto Trash Pandas by the score of 5-4. Tampa Bay designated hitter Marcus Greene, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Tony Gutierrez collected save number 2.

The Trash Pandas had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Captains going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old center fielder Ron Eckhardt came to the plate. Eckhardt hit a 2-run double on a full count fastball from Toronto hurler Moises Cruz. It was Eckhardt's 10th double of the year.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Eckhardt.

Tampa Bay is now 25-45, Toronto 36-34.
