The Toronto Trash Pandas and Cincinnati Royals completed their game despite the rain.

Travis Gwinn left his imprint on the 5-0 Toronto win against the Cincinnati Royals. Gwinn, who finished 5th in the NC in triples with 8 in 2021, was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs. Toronto reliever Jeremy Gray picked up the win, upping his record to 9-4. Miguel Leon took the loss.

Jon Kenyon had a big 2-run home run for the Trash Pandas in the top of the fourth inning. With Toronto leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a circle change from Miguel Leon, who finished 2nd in the NC in wins with 16 in 2021, and punished it. The result was his 12th home run of the season, which put the Trash Pandas on top, 3-0.

Toronto manager Walt DeRosier said his team played a "no nonsense" game.

The win elevated the Trash Pandas to 81-81.
