Sandusky second baseman J.P. Baldwin had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-2, to Daytona Beach at Leatherback Park. Baldwin was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Justin Pierce earned the save, his 41st. The third-place Sea Turtles sport a record of 73-89.

Daytona Beach took a 4-2 lead on Doug Salazar's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Salazar hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Sandusky pitcher Steve Gaucher visibly frustrated.

"We did a lot of things right," said Salazar.
