Invaders Snatch Late-Game, 7-6 Win
The Oakland Invaders had to overcome a big game from San Francisco right fielder Steve Taylor to leave San Francisco Grounds with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-6. Taylor was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Oakland reliever Mike Walker picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Sam Crider absorbed the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Invaders.

Oakland used the timely hitting of Keagan Deming to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Invaders on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Tyrone Hairston.
