Oakland Scrapes Out 6-4 Win
The Oakland Invaders knocked off the Charleston Shiners, 6-4, in National Conference action at Howard Terminal. Oakland pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Alfredo Tiscareno had an outstanding performance. Oakland improves to 99-63 with the win. They lead their division by 14 games.

Steve McKinstry, who led the AC in home runs with 35 last year, took Charleston hurler Donovan Mott deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Invaders on top, 5-4. In all, McKinstry had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Tiscareno after the game.
