Hollywood Grounds featured a tense pitchers' duel.

Corey Gruver, who is tied for 4th in the NC with a 2.65 ERA, had a strong outing for the San Diego Fleet against the Hollywood Stars at Hollywood Grounds. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-0 win. The win puts San Diego at 92-70 this season.

Jacob Kennedy, who finished 4th in the NC in batting average with .291 in 2019, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kennedy contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put San Diego up, 1-0.
