San Francisco Absorbs 8-2 Loss to Hollywood
|
Elijah Moody left his imprint on the 8-2 Hollywood win against the San Francisco Fire. Moody, who finished 4th in the NC in runs with 114 in 2022, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Isaiah Robinson, the winner, is now 2-2. He struck out 4 and walked 1 over 7.1 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. The win puts Hollywood at 81-81 this season.
Hollywood used the clutch hitting of Marco Madrigal to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Stars the lead, 4-2. For the game, Madrigal had 1 single and 1 double in 6 at-bats.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Madrigal said.
