Jake Triplett pitched well, but his team, the Carolina Reapers, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Charleston Sea Dogs at Reedy River Stadium. Mario Barillas, credited with the save, is now 11 for 18 in save opportunities. The triumph puts Charleston at 100-61 for the season.

Charleston used a well-timed hit by Dusty Anderson to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Sea Dogs ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Julio Rodriguez.
