Stars Lose, 5-1, to San Diego
|
San Diego Fleet starter Rodrigo Lemus turned in a top-notch performance against the Hollywood Stars at Hollywood Grounds. The result was a win for the Fleet, 5-1. The Fleet, now 98-63, have won 11 in a row.
Jacob Kennedy dealt the Stars a blow in the top of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and San Diego leading 2-0, Kennedy, who finished 5th in the NC in slugging percentage with .502 in 2015, hit a 1-2 splitter for a run-scoring single.
"We have a lot of confidence in Rodrigo," said San Diego manager Brian Burnett.
