Figueroa Leads Gladiators to Win
|
Phoenix left fielder Ben Figueroa played a vital role in his team's 6-3 conquest of Austin. He was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs for Phoenix. Ryan Robertson got the save, his 17th in 22 chances. Phoenix is now 87-74, while Austin is 91-70.
Brian Shultz, who finished 4th in the NC in runs with 96 in 2019, took Austin hurler Jason Emary deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Gladiators on top, 3-2. In all, Shultz had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
