Vancouver right fielder Brian Shultz made his presence felt in the 10-1 Mounties triumph over the San Francisco Fire. Shultz went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Picking up the win was Greg Sandlin. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. The left--hander struck out 4 and walked 0. The win puts the Mounties at 85-76, while the Fire drop to 74-87.

Dave Agee went 1 for 5. He drove in 3 runs for Vancouver. The 23-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Taylor Motyl. It was his 55th RBI of the season.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Shultz told the Vancouver Gazette.
