The Miami Boll Weevils had their hands full with Sonoma Scorpions starter Alex Perez, who frustrated Miami hitters while leading Sonoma to a comfortable, 8-0 win. The Scorpions win now puts them at 60-41.

Perez gave Sonoma an exquisite performance. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 8.2 innings.

"Alex is a gamer," said Sonoma manager Justin Watts.
