Ragin Cajuns Sneak Past Royals, 2-1
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Stockton Ragin Cajuns and the Cornwall Royals, pitcher Enrique Perez was the difference between victory and defeat. The Stockton right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Ragin Cajuns win. Jorge Ortega picked up the win in relief for Stockton, while Kevin Donahue took the loss. Picking up the save was Casey Levy. He's now 25 for 28 in save chances.
Omar Castillo aided the Stockton cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1 for 1.
"We put together a nice win," Perez said.
