Pitcher Glenn Ward was sensational for the Augusta Capitols in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Vermont Milkmen. Ward earned the win. Augusta is now 62-35.

The Capitols got a big hit from second baseman Sean Dowling. Facing Vermont pitcher Dusty Thomas in the bottom of the fifth, Dowling pounded a 3-run home run to center. His 2nd home run of the season put the Capitols ahead, 4-0.

"My job is to go out and execute," said Ward.
