Scorpions Topple Firecats with Late Rally
The Sonoma Scorpions topped the Hialeah Firecats, 12-7, the lion's share of the credit going to catcher Bill Martz. On the day, Martz was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Scorpions. The Scorpions upped their record to 56-40.

Justin Uhl delivered a big hit for Sonoma. The center fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Scorpions ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"It was a solid team effort," Martz said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
