Emeralds Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the London Tigers and Vermont Milkmen.
Tim Wheeler made an impact in the 6-5 London win over Vermont. Wheeler went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Mike Mudge picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 8-3. Dan Martin suffered the loss.
John Wallace drew 2 walks in 2 plate appearances for London. The 22-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Dan Martin. It was his 3rd walk of the season.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Wheeler.
The Tigers, at 61-35, lead by one game in their division.
