The Vermont Milkmen stopped the Hialeah Firecats, 6-5, behind an impressive performance from Marco Sandoval. The 26-year old second baseman made life miserable for Hialeah pitching. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Vermont reliever Chris Runte picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Francisco Elizalde shouldered the loss. The slumping Firecats have dropped 7 in a row.

Sandoval had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Milkmen went on to win.

"It was a solid team effort," said Sandoval after the game.
