Capitols Keep Clicking, Win, 6-2

The Augusta Capitols extended their winning streak.
The Augusta Capitols topped the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 6-2, at The Capitol Dome. Augusta third baseman Eric Hicks was a spark plug for the offense. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. The winner was Augusta reliever Glenn Ward, now 5-3. The loser was Fabian Ruiz.
Bryan Langel was 2-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 4 runs for Augusta. The 23-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Greg Wright. It was his 26th walk of the season.
"That's what makes it fun -- everybody's jacked up because of the way we've been winning," said Augusta manager Chris Clarke.
The winning continues for Augusta, with the latest triumph making it 8 straight.
