The London Tigers, behind a great outing from Mike Callan, who leads the W-AA in wins with 12, defeated the St. Louis Cavalry, 2-1, at Cavalry Ballpark. Callan, now 12-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Paul Kreger, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 25th save.
London used the hitting of Justin Cheadle to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tigers on top, 2-1. For the game, Cheadle had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
Cheadle told the London Herald: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
The Tigers go to 63-35, putting them first in the Western AA Central Division.
