Bulldogs Pull Off Thrilling 4-3 Win in Extras
|
The Cornwall Royals got a superb performance from pitcher Angelo Quezada, but the Hamilton Bulldogs still won the game, 4-3. Quezada threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Hamilton reliever T.J. Huckaby picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Nick Chinn was saddled with the loss. Hamilton is now 59-38, while Cornwall is 61-36.
Hamilton relied on the hitting of Joel Angulo to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Bulldogs on top, 4-3. For the game, Angulo had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said Angulo.
