The Cornwall Royals could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Rob Stech into a win. Instead, the Stockton Ragin Cajuns prevailed, 3-2. Stech threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The win went to Jeff Bidwell in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kelly Powell took the loss. Stockton raised its record to 48-45 with the win.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Stockton center fielder Tyler Crawford, facing Kelly Powell, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Ragin Cajuns the 3-2 win.

"We took home the win," said Crawford. "What's not to like?"
