In an excellent mound performance, Steve Pikula of the Sandusky Seagulls blanked the Hollywood Stars, 8-0, on a 6-hitter.

"I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game.

In all, the Sandusky hurler rang up 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout win.

"We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Stars manager Bobby Odom. "Pikula did a good job keeping us guessing."

This year, Pikula has made 14 starts, thrown 107 innings, fanned 43 batters and walked 30. His won-lost record is 7-4 with a 2.19 ERA.
