San Diego Sent Home with 4-2 Loss
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 2017 Most Valuable Player Award winner Leo Serna, the Austin Desperados defeated the San Diego Fleet, 4-2. Austin pitcher Jason Emary got the win. He's now 1-1. Rodrigo Lemus was tagged with the loss. Bob Baucke earned the save for Austin, his 2nd.
With Austin leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Serna batted against San Diego pitcher Rodrigo Lemus. Serna hit a slider to left-center for a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Desperados on top, 2-0.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Serna.
San Diego, with the loss, is 4-3.
