Detroit right fielder Chris Lutz had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Lutz went 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, even as Tampa Bay beat the Giants, 6-5. The win gives Tampa Bay a record of 4-3.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Manuel Campos? The Tampa Bay center fielder had a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Captains on top, 6-1. For the game, Campos had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
