Matthew Little made an impact in the 10-5 San Francisco win over Daytona Beach. Little, who finished 5th in the NC in home runs with 41 in 2019, went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win went to Andy Hannah in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Jared Holder took the loss. With the win, the Fire are 23-43.
Little contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for San Francisco in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Little took a fastball from Antonio Sanchez and stroked the double to center. His 9th double of the season allowed the Fire to leap in front, 2-1.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Little.
