The Indianapolis Eagles had to overcome a good performance from Boston pitcher Jay Helm to claim a 3-2 win at Whislters Park. Helm went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. James Gibson earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 3-1. The third-place Eagles lifted their record to 38-28.

Adam McCumiskey aided the Indianapolis cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 4.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Indianapolis manager Pete DuBay.
